How to Setup DLink Router Without CD?

D-link Router is an attractive and high performance router which makes it easy to share your broadband connection with all of your devices. Setup Dlink router without CD:

• First you need to connect your router with power source and switch it on. Now you can use Ethernet cable to connect it with your computer. One end of the Ethernet cable goes inside the LAN port of the router while other end goes to the other end of the computer. Thereafter you need to connect ADSL modem cable to the wan port and you have to wait for few minutes to let connection established.
• Now you need to open any installed browser on your computer which might be Google chrome, Mozila firefox or Internet explorer. Thereafter you need to enter 192.168.0.1 address in the address bar of the browser which is the default IP address of the web console for DLink router and press enter which will redirect you on the login screen window.
• On getting login screen window, you have to prompted to enter username and password in the appropriate boxes. You need to enter admin as username in the appropriate box and leave the password field blank. If your internet service provider provides you special credentials, you have to enter those credentials. You can also search the login credentials on the bottom label of the router.

Note: if your credentials does not work, which means someone has been changed the credentials. To work with default credentials, you need to perform factory reset operation by pressing reset button for 30 seconds with the thin paper clip.

• On entering valid credentials you will be redirected to the setup page of your Dlink router where you will get wireless settings and choose manual wireless network setup page
• Thereafter you need to enter SSID name to identify your wireless network. Now go to security settings . In this tab,  you have to select WEP-PERSONAL encryption type which is considered as the safest form of the encryption from the given options
• In the below encryption type, you will notice a box for the passkey which means for your wireless password. You need to enter strong and unique password in the box and make sure that password is enough strong and cannot guessed easily via any type of trial and error method. You have to save these settings and you have configured your router successfully. 

Configuration of your Dlink router without CD:

Another alternate method to confure your Dlink router without the CD by following below steps:

• First type 192.168.1.1 IP address in the address bar of the browser
• Now on the login screen you have to type admin as username and password is admin and then login the system
• Thereafter you need to select setup menu and under the setup menu you need to tap on create new connection and fill up the form by giving vpi=0
• Vci=35 and give correct user id and password which is given by the service provider and thereafter select the connection type which is PPoE and apply.
• Now you need to select tool options and under tools option go to system command and click on save all button
• On the same window you have to click on the restart button to restart the whole system so that whatever changes you have made will be apply successfully.
• Now you router is properly configured and you can use your internet now.
