D’link Dap1330 Wi-Fi range extender which is used to increase the range of wireless network. It is used to expand your wireless network for getting ultimate performance. This wireless range extender comes with three external antennas which are used to enhance wireless range of the router. Those three antennas are adjustable which means you can adjust those antennas as per your network choices. 

Suppose you have purchased a new wireless range extender and you want to set it up with your new router or access point or with some other existing access point. Step-by-Step Guide to Setup D'link Dap 1330 Wifi Extender

• First, you need to plug the DAP-1330 into a wall outlet within the wireless range of your router

• Thereafter open the wireless utility on your computer where you need to select the SSID or network name of the d'link dap 1330 setup network and thereafter enter the password( both of these details like SSID and password are found on in included Wi-Fi configuration card)

• Thereafter open any installed browser on your computer and type http://dlinkap.local./1330  in the address bar of the browser and press enter button on the keyboard. You can also type the IP address of the link which is http://192.168.0.50

• you will get login screen after entering this IP address in the address bar of the browser, where you need to enter username and password in the appropriate boxes. The default username is admin and you should leave blank password field and click on the login button.\

• Now click on the setup wizard

• Thereafter click on the next button

• Now to setup your network manually, you have to select the second option from the setup wizard and click next to continue

• Now you need to select the wireless network that you wish to use as per your source network from the list and then select it. Once you have selected the appropriate network which you wish to use thereafter click on the select option

• Now you need to enter a password for your network and click next to continue

• Now the dap 1330 will rebroadcast the wireless connection from the source router as the extended wireless network. An SSID or network name and password will be generated automatically for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network and if you want to change these settings, you need to enter the network name or SSID and password which you wish to apply for the extended network and thereafter click on the next to continue.

• Now the setup process is complete and you will get the summary page which is displaying settings for both the connections to the uplink router and the extended wireless network. it is advised you to make a record of this information for future reference and save it at a safe place.

• You will see a green check mark between the source router and your DAP-1330 icon indicating that there is a successful connection between in your source router and your DAP-1330.

• Now the setup is complete

Configure your DAP-1330 Using a Web Browser

• First, you need to plug the DAP-1330 into the nearest outlet available to your router

• Thereafter open wireless settings of your wireless devices

• Now you can scan the wireless network, and after selecting wireless network, you need to enter password

• You need to type the IP address for the DAP-1330 or in case if you do not know the IP address, you can go directly

• Now you will asked to enter password on the login screen

• Thereafter enter password and you can leave the passphrase blank and log in and you will be directed at the direct link of the home page.

• From the drop-down menu, click on the language which you want to use and click on the Continue button

• Now you need to press the WPS button on your router and the WPS button on the wireless extender will start in automatic mode.

• Enter the network name for your dap-1330 and enter a new password and click on next

• Now enter admin password for dap-1330

• Click on finish and the dap-1330 will be rebooted.

• After the reboot process, if the status of the light is green and the indicator is lit in solid green mode then your setup is complete.
