Extender Mode:

Setup dap 1650 dlink router IP address in extender mode by following below steps

First you have to supply power on the DAP-1650
Thereafter you need to connect with computer to any port on the back of the dap
Now open any installed browser on your computer and enter the following address in the address bar
Now this will take you on the DAP-1650 setup wizard page. You need to click on the next button to begin the setup

Note: this setup wizard will appear only first time during first setup . if this wizard does not appear in front of you, so in that case you have to reset DAP-1650 with its default settings

In the next step, you need to select extender which is located next to wireless mode and then click on the next button to proceed
You need to create a new wireless network and password for your new extended network

Note: D-Link suggests you keeping different it from the existing network which will be very useful to determine with which network you are connected to

Now the DAP-1650 will scan your area for your wireless signals
Thereafter select wireless signals which you want to extend and then click on connect button
If the wireless signal which you want to extend is security enabled, now enter its wireless security password and thereafter click on the next button
Now you need to enter new administrator password for the DAP-1650. We know that the default password is blank and this is not a wireless password and this password is strictly for accessing the DAP-1650 configuration page.
Now you need to review your setting and thereafter click on finish button
DAP will save your settings and reboot and thereafter applying all the new settings
Now the setup is complete

Note: it is always advised to keep your DAP-1650 in those area where you will get good signal quality to your existing wireless network signal for your router. The DAP-1650 requires a very good signal from your existing router in order to properly extend your signals

Access Point Mode:

In the access point mode, first need to supply power to the DAP-1650
Now connect your computer with the any port on the back of the DAP-1650
Open any installed browser on your computer and enter the following address in the address bar of the browser which is http://192.168.0.50 or http://dlinkapp which is the Dlink router IP.
This will take you on the web-setup wizard and click next to begin
Next to the wireless mode, you need to select access point and click on next
Now you need to click on next to begin the setup wizard
Now create a new wireless network name and password for your device to connect to
Now you need to enter new administrator password for the DAP-1650. The default password is blank
Now you select the time zone and click on next
It’s time to confirm your setting and click on finish button
The 1650 will reboot itself and will apply new settings
Now setup is complete and now you can connect your DAP-1650 into your router or existing network.

Media Bridge mode:

In the access point mode, first need to supply power to the DAP-1650
Now connect your computer with the any port on the back of the DAP-1650
Open any installed browser on your computer and enter the following Dlink router IP in the address bar of the browser which is http://192.168.0.50 or http://dlinkapp
This will take you on the web-setup wizard and click next to begin
Next to the wireless mode, you need to select media bridge mode and click on next
This will scan all the available wireless network
You need to select wireless network which you want to bridge and click on connect
If the wireless network you intend to bridge is security enabled, enter its wireless password and click on next
Now enter new admin password for the DAP-1650
Now confirm your setting and click on finish
Now setup is complete now
