How to Set Up Dlink AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender?

Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi range extender which is used to increase the range of wireless network. It is used to expand your wireless network for getting ultimate performance. Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi range extender provides 450 Mbps on 2.4 GHz +1300 Mbps on 5 GHz and total speed it will provide approximately 1750 Mbps Wi-Fi speed. This wireless range extender comes with three external antennas which are used to enhance wireless range of the router. Those three antennas are adjustable which means you can adjust those antennas as per your network choices. 

Suppose if you have purchase a new wireless range extender and you want to setting it up with your new router or access point or with some another existing access point. Step by step solution for Setup Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender:

  • First you are required to plug in your Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender in to the outlet which is near your wireless router
  • There after you need to wait for light to flash amber
  • There are two methods are available to set it up your Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender
  • If you wireless router has WPS button, you are required to press that WPS button on your router
  • Within 120 seconds, you need to press the WPS button on your Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender
  • And wait for the light to be turn into solid green and it will take up to two minutes only. If light is not turn into solid green,  you have to repeat the whole process again like press the WPS button on your wireless range extender
  • Now you can unplug and move the Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender to a location between your wireless router and the area where you will get wireless network coverage
  • Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender is equipped with smart signal range indicator which is used to check signal strength and to increase the signal strength, you are required to move your Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender closer to your router.
  • If your smart signal indicator is showing one signal bar or if DAP-1720 is not connecting, you are required to move the Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender to a wall outlet which is closer to your wireless router
  • Now you are ready to connect with your Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender where your network name should be the same as your router’s name but followed with –EXT, -EXT5G
  • Your Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender password will be the same as your router’s password
  • Alternatively you can setup your Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender with your personal computer

Set up of Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender through web console:

  • Now you are required to plug in DAP-1720 extender into an outlet near your wireless router
  • Now you will get wireless configuration card which includes information like Wi-Fi Name, wireless password, wireless name etc.
  • Now locate the Wi-Fi network listed on the Wi-Fi configuration card 
  • You are required to use those password which is mentioned on the configuration card to connect with Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender and click on the connect button
  • Now you are required to type the web address of the Dlink in the installed browser address bar and press enter
  • Now you will get the setup wizard which will guide you how to proceed in the configuration and click on next
  • Where if you want to select it manually, select wireless network  which you want to extend, click on the WiFi
  • Now you need to locate the network which you want to extend
  • Now you need to enter the password for the network which you want to extend
  • You should choose different name for both the network like one for 2.4 Ghz and another for 5 Ghz
  • You also need to choose password for both network
  • Set the admin password which is used to access device setting and it should be different from the previous password which you have set it out.
  • Now all the settings will be saved which you have done previously, now you need to restart
  • Once this restarted, you can use your device to connect to the extended Wi-Fi network 
  • Now you are connected with Dlink AC 1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender.
